Gabriela Mirensky

AIGA

For the past fourteen years, Gabriela has been collaborating with teams of designers on projects ranging from books to exhibitions for AIGA, the professional association for design. Prior to joining AIGA, she worked as a graphic designer in Mexico City and moved to New York City in 1988 to complete a Masters degree in Printmaking. She is also an alumna of the Arts Leadership Institute (sponsored by Columbia University and the Arts and Business Council) and the Harvard Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders program.

A long-time supporter of integrating multiculturalism in every aspect of education, Gabriela teaches in the Spanish program at the School of Visual Arts, ¿Hablas diseño?, sharing her expertise in project management with creatives at various levels in their careers.

Gabriela is a member of ArtTable and is on the advisory board of desigNYC, a collective formed by a group of designers and design advocates with the mission of helping nonprofit and community groups in need of design services connect with professional, pro bono design resources.
