Worldstudio believes that there is an abundance of ideas to solve the problems existing in today’s world – what’s needed are the tools and techniques to put these ideas into action. The Funding Social Change workshop helps build a bridge connecting ideas and action by teaching diverse funding strategies for socially responsible projects. This introductory workshop guides attendees through the basic process of bringing their concepts to fruition with a sense of entrepreneurial spirit by exploring the following topics:

» Overview of various funding models
» Corporate sponsorship versus grants
» Identifying and forming collaborative relationships
» Developing a basic marketing plan and budget
» Finding appropriate funding sources for your big idea
» Tools for pitching your idea
» Getting your ideas in front of appropriate funding sources

An interactive presentation is followed by small group work where attendees apply new skills to an actual project by creating a project budget, marketing plan and funding strategy under the guidance of the instructor.
