At the Corcoran College of Art + Design, students combine their studies with the extensive cultural and professional resources in Washington, D.C. BFA students in Graphic Design create identities, exhibition designs, and graphic environments, and learn to communicate complex information in clear and creative formats. Students pursue publication and other print design, web design, digital video, animation, and motion graphics. They intern at studios, museums, and non-profit organizations, as well as the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and they are encouraged to work on projects that promote social change and public service-individually, in small groups, or in partnerships with other organizations.

Centered on the idea of direct and intense creative education, the Corcoran is an innovative leader in visual arts education and is the only four-year college of art and design in Washington, D.C. Our renowned faculty includes some of the most active and cutting-edge artists, designers, and photographers in the country. Students benefit from a conservatory approach to education, and form the kind of tight-knit relationships with faculty and staff only a college of our size and caliber can provide.
