Ohio State University Department of Design

Founded in 1968, the Department of Design at The Ohio State University offers professional undergraduate programs in Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Visual Communication Design, as well as Master of Fine Arts degree programs in Design Research + Development, and Digital Animation + Interactive Media.

The 2009 edition of U.S. News & World Report – America’s Best Graduate Schools ranked OSU’s Design graduate program as #5 in the nation, and #1 in public institutions. Known for their comprehensive training is user-centered design processes, OSU Design alumni are situated in top tier companies and positions throughout the world.

The Department has a long history of collaborative projects with industry, along with many student-initiated projects meant to contribute to the greater good.
