With 66% of its student population attending on scholarship or Child Care Assistance and 34% paying tuition in full, the Cornerstone Montessori community is both economically and culturally diverse. How can Cornerstone break down existing social and cultural barriers in order to unite the surrounding neighborhood?
DesignWorks created the Cornerstone Community Connections symbol which outreach representatives from Cornerstone Montessori School can distribute to all residents of the neighboring public housing community. As this symbol is made visible from the exteriors of homes, it becomes both a call-to-action and signal of support.
