A-wear was created to embrace the message of sustainability. A-wear shows the need for change in a world of consumption and how we as visual communicators can help solve this problem. Through the project I created a series of designs with messages of sustainability such as "be a-wear of what you wear.” These were screen printed on organic textiles, clothing tags and fabric bags. A website about the project includes research on fashion consumption and highlights different ways in which the powerful force of advertising and graphic design can make our way of living a more sustainable and harmonious one.

Putting together the reactions and thoughts people had about the project, I could see that they understood the A-wear message faster by reading the short and concise messages on the clothes. Some were willing to wear clothes with sustainable messages.

The installation at the Senior Thesis Exhibition at the Corcoran Gallery consisted of a flat screen displaying the Website, mannequins wearing organic clothing with the messages imprinted, and projections of the messages.
