With the ultimate goal of creating a pop-up store that engaged the Denver Metro area, students were challenged to use design thinking to explore and create solutions for pressing social problems. Each Metro State Communication Design student mentored two youth, resulting in six powerhouse teams, ready to design.
The thirteen high school youth and six college students decided the best way to educate others was to share their own life lessons. With this real-world experience, the students used design to communicate their ideas, exhibit their potential, and take action in their communities.
