Remembering to take medication on time and in the correct dosage can be difficult for the elderly, who often struggle with failing eyesight and/or hearing, as well as certain memory problems. Many elderly also suffer from chronic conditions that require a strict course of treatment. Failure to follow treatment plans can lead to medical complications, unnecessary hospital visits, and poor quality of life. Existing products meant to address this issue have not been designed with human interaction for the elderly in mind.
