For this multidisciplinary effort, Graphic Design Practicum, worked with PennPraxis, The Penn Project for Civic Engagement, the COO of the Kimmel Center, and a studio of industrial designers at the University of the Arts, to reinvision the public spaces of Philadelphia’s performing arts venue, the Kimmel Center. After considerable design development, three approaches to enlivening the Kimmel’s public spaces were presented to over 200 citizens. Their feedback was gathered and incorporated into a final set of next steps presented to the Kimmel Center’s board of directors in a 100-page report.
