The director approached Practicum with the idea to create a poster for each of the 2,500 incoming freshman. The student designers, being very in tune with the audience, thought that a poster would not have the impact and sustainable keepsake-quality that the client desired. Their challenge was to develop a better gift idea.
The solution is a unique deck of 36 cards describing Penn traditions through words and images. It provides the “inside track” on many things both funny and serious about campus. The deck is housed in a silver tin that can double as a desk container. The response was overwhelming. It has become its own tradition.
